Academic Affairs
The Academic Affairs Committee plans academic enrichment activities throughout the year for honors students.  We offer an academic advising tea each semester right before students register for classes so they can talk to upperclassmen and receive advice from their peers.  We have recently started an Honors Book Club that meets several times a year to discuss interesting works of fiction.  The committee organizes movie nights that include discussion sections afterwards moderated by a professor.  Several forums are scheduled to help students learn about special academic opportunities offered by the Honors Program ,such as the Honors Contract Informational Panel and the Honors Thesis Student Forum.   The members of the committee also have the opportunity to initiate new projects to help enrich the Honors experience.
