The Honors Program

Each honors student is assigned an advisor through the Academic Advising Program in the College of Arts & Sciences and the General College.  Assignments are made based upon your intended or declared primary major.  The Advising Programs include full-time professional advisors and assistant deans, part-time faculty advisors, and deans who work closely together in divisions based on related majors and disciplines: Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities, Natural and Math Science, Pre-Professional, and Health Professions.  After the first two years, you may remain in the General College and College of Arts & Sciences or apply to one of the university’s professional schools (School of Business, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, School of Nursing, etc.) for your junior and senior years.  To make an appointment with your advisor, please visit the "Schedule an Appointment" page.

Though most academic and curriculum questions should be addressed to your advisor, there are a couple of exceptions for which we recommend students visit the Honors Office for assistance.  Students with questions about the following should make an appointment with the Assistant or Associate Dean for Honors. 

All questions regarding honors course offerings and registration procedures should be directed to the Honors Program staff in 225 Graham Memorial.  Unless otherwise noted in the course description, registration for all Honors courses is handled through the Honors Program office.
